Default recall on my Tauras.

My 2002 Ford Tauras ses 3.0 DOHC was recalled because of the throttle cable. Went an had it replaced by the dealer ship . Now the car idles at 1100 rpms. I replaced a idle control valve because of a code p1506 . the idle increased to a whopping 1500 rpms, Hank , This baffles me . I also looked for a vacuum leak , but could not find one . Any advice ?

The PCM has to relearn the new values with the new part. What you can try is to disconnect the battery negative cable and allow the positive cable end and negative cable end to be connected together for 10-15 minutes so the KAM ,keep alive memory is erased and the PCM should relearn the new values after the negative cable is reinstalled.
