Since we know there is a fuel pressure problem "Reported", we should take care of that first.

It could be the fuel pressure sensor., the connections at the sensor, maybe even power supply to the sensor and maybe even the fuel pump or its connections.

Usually, if there is insufficient fuel, power is reduced, but not instantly as appears here. The pressure should remain fairly constant.
I would suggest considering replacing the fuel pressure sensor and making sure the connections are good, then clear the code and take the vehicle for a ride and see if there is any change. Did the code come back ?

P0401, a confirmed code, should be addressed first when P0191 is only at pending stage. If you compare P0191 with P0190, P0192 and P0193, the P0191 is less critical.

You have same symptoms as rough idling.

There comes a point when the light comes on upstairs and that light wants to know what was the "Parts Vehicle".

If we don't, we should, know you can't just swap parts with vehicles that have computers.

I do not see any way we are going to correct this problem because there are too many unknowns and the can of worms has been opened .

Default Fuel pressure regulator?

It was a motor out of a 00 Taurus going into a 00 sable. My first thought is fuel pressure regulator, or is that sensor also a regulator? What is this part in the pic

Default Regulator and sensor in one?

K, but that's just the sensor, which I am not saying isn't bad but isn't the regulator a more likely culprit, how do I test both of them. Or is the fuel pressure sensor also the regulator. That pic I posted I thought looked like a regulator but no vacuum line going to it where there is a vacuum line going to fuel pressure sensor so idk.

Suggest you read up on returnless fuel systems which I believe is in your vehicle.. Some of those systems have the press reg in the fuel tank and some are regulated by pulse width signals the PCM sends to fuel pump based on info rec'd from fuel press sensor.

Default Fuel filter

I replaced the fuel filter and that got the fuel pressure to flatten out quite a bit to the point I think it's normal. Got a new code though, cylinder 1 misfire. I unplugged the injector and coil while running and it ran worse, I am sure that doesn't completely rule them out but just for a start. Gonna compression test it once the engine cools down.

Default Good news

Compression tested good. Ignition coil resistance test was like 2ohms and 5k ohms for secondary and primary coil windings, don't know which is which, but that's good readings right? I am guessing sticky injector what do you think. Just to be sure cyl 1 is rear of engine closest to passenger side of car right?
