Hello,

I have a 1995 F250 7.5L that will occasionally not restart after it’s been driven until it completely cools down. I’m trying to diagnose the issue but I’m not 100% sure what’s going on. I am thinking it’s the ignition control module overheating and therefor not allowing proper ignition to restart. Any ideas or other thoughts?

When it will not restart ,that is the time to verify if spark is available or not. If it is , may be some other kind of problem..

 

If spark is not available, would that confirm the diagnosis of the ICM?

 

I would not jump to any conclusions until we verify what we have and what is missing..
