2001 Ford Escape not starting
My wife has a 2001 Ford Escape. When attempting to start the starter makes one loud click and all of the power is lost inside the vehicle. After that the only way to get power back is disconnect the battery a few times. Could this be a starter issue?

It could be, but I seriously doubt it.
From what you describe there is a poor connection between the battery and the rest of the vehicle.
It could be at either battery post or where the other end of the cables connect to the vehicle itself.
Both cables and ends are suspect at this time.
