bad running
I have a 92 f150 with a 302. I was driving and all of a sudden it started dieing then run then try to die then run, over and over. My alternator indicator shows no charge, I made it home O.K. and changed the alternator. does the battery have to have a FULL charge?
because it still does it and the indicator still says it's not getting a charge even with a charger on it.

there are two things that i can think of that might be messed up
one is the battery.
second is the cables that are running from the alternator to the battery. that is the only thing i can think of. my boss had a old chevy that was doing the same thing and it ended up being the ground cable. i dont know if this helps but i tried good luck young grasshopper.
