Question Replacing male antenna mount with female

Greetings,

I have a 2004 Ford Focus wagon that the antenna mount's threaded "male" piece snapped off. I found the OEM replacement mount on Amazon, but I can't find any short (~9") flexible antennas to match it (the OEM antenna is 28.8" long!). Does anyone know if I can replace the 2000-2007 mount with a mount that has a female threaded section? There seem to be many short, flexible antennas that are male threaded, and only short, stiff antennas with female threads.

Thanks for any help!
