Security System Malfunction on my 2012 Ford Expedition
I have 2012 Ford Expedition XLT. I actually bought it off my mother a couple years ago and she was having the same issue I have a question about but her and my father were never able to figure it out. A few years ago the radio in the car stopped working, it won’t light you or anything you can still connect to it and it’ll still play music but it won’t light up. Around that same time the security system started malfunctioning. I only add the radio thing because I’ve been told they could be linked. However, when I lock the truck the alarm will just go off randomly throughout the night , but only when it’s locked if it’s unlocked it won’t do it. Nobody touches it or messes with it it just goes off. At first it was whatever but recently me and my wife have had to move back in with my in-laws and they have an HOA and the neighbors have started complaining about it, HOA has reached out and have threatened fines if it continues to happen. I’d like to be able to lock my truck at night but I’d also like to not get fined. Any help to a direction of the problem would be great. I should also add the key fob half works I can lock it, set off the alarm, and open the hatch window but can’t unlock the truck with the key fob don’t know if that could also be apart of it.
