Standard Motor Products once manufactured Blue Streak starter solenoids SS-588-X with a copper mounting foot and dense windings. These have been unavailable for some time from SMP. Does anyone know of an NOS automotive electrical parts outfit that I can find these?

What is this solenoid on so we have some idea of how much it might draw on starting ?

Blue Streak parts were pretty good. Sometimes Echlin was pretty good also and came from NAPA

 

These Starter Solenoids were used on various Ford and Mercury vehicles from the 60's up to and including the 80's They were also used on CJ Jeeps from '73 (at least) and on my '78
