Default Tire Troubles

I have a 2003 F250. Today my Right Front tire Tread came off. Tire Still had Air but Tread did a lot of damage underneath. Now the Truck wont start... Looks like tread pulled and cut a 2 wire sensor of some type. Anyone know what this sensor maybe??? Can it be by passed long enough to get to shop?? Suggestions appreciated!!!!

If it is a gasoline fueled vehicle chances are pretty good it is the crank sensor. If the check engine light does not go out when cranking to start , it is the crank sensor.
You might be able to splice the same color wires together if the wires to the sensor are not cut off at the sensor.

Assuming the Check Gage and Check Engine light are one in same, Than that is it. It cut the wire behind Fender Skirt and female half of plug is gone. Tying wires together didn't help. Have a Call into Local ford to see if have Plug. Is it possible blew a fuse? Thanks for your help "Hanky".

Without being there to look at the situation, speculation alone can get us into trouble.
Two wire sensors use no voltage supply and therefore require no fuse supplied power.
I am trying to recall if there any other sensors in that area other than a wheel speed sensor and if damaged should not prevent the vehicle from starting. If you look very closely in the area of the crankshaft pulley, that is where the crank sensor is located. If you see a bolted on sensor without any wires connected to it chances are you found the problem. This is one of those times where you take one step at a time.

Apparently it is not the Crank sensor. This has a connector behind the fender skirt and runs to the Caliper with the Brake lines.

That wire problem alone will cause the lite to come on , however, there is a different problem causing the vehicle not to start. It is always good practice to make sure no fuses are blown. If you can hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you just turn the key on, that could eliminate power to the pump. You might want to check if the inertia switch has been tripped. It should be located inside the cab just over the trans tunnel up against the firewall. If you have the owner's manual it should show a pix of it.

According to the Dealership. The piece I am in need of is part of the "Main Engine Wiring Harness". Not only was it $960.00 Bucks but is also No Longer available. I have been hitting the local Scrap Yards but since it does not have a direct name. No one will talk with you. They just say they don't have any F250's. I have found one online for $622.00 but I can't believe I have to pay that to get two wires and a connector. I tried to "Rig" something but loos like it has a vacuum switch in it also. I am Unemployed and just lost my house and now have to deal with this!!!
