Hello everyone, newbie here! Recently bought an '03 Expedition 2wd with 115k mileage. It has a few things that need fixing. The most crucial to me is that I now smell gasoline while outside of the vehicle, near the gas door. It appeared to have been sitting when I met the seller. He only said it was rarely driven because they had too many cars. It seemed to be in immaculate condition, but am noticing more issues as I drive it more. Most things I believe are just normal wear and tear and for its age as well. It came with new tires all around, new brakes & rotors in the front. I've already put $650 into it for new brakes & rotors in the back. Had lube, oil & filter done right away. It does have a slightly rough idle but drives great. My mechanic said no frame damage and overall a good deal. The driver's door and the back door behind the driver rattle like crazy, as does the back hatch glass. After purchasing, I could see both of these doors have a slight bend towards the bottom corner of the doors. Didn't see this prior to, as the molding around the bottom covers it. The door behind the front passenger does not lock or unlock with the key fob, but will by hand. After 1st car wash, noticed a slight leak inside from the back hatch window. The heater worked great the night I drove it home, as well as the AC. Now neither are in front or the back. Any words of advice for me? I looked at this car by myself, as I'm single and had no one to go with me. At $5,300 do you think I was ripped off? Thank you in advance, everyone. Merry Christmas!
