1993 F250 Not getting Spark... Help...
So my F250 1993 460 gas 7.5l after jumpstarting someone explorer it just randomly died no warning. So did alot of research fixed multiple items like the ICM x3 times (thinking maybe one was faulty). Replaced the ignition coil, has a new battery, new distributor, and my pcm is still not sending ignition spark to the motor ( ignition coil and possibly not to icm ) I checked the inertia switch is fine and never was triggered. I'm seriously at a loss in this place but maybe a ground issue but no idea where to even look... or bad pcm would love the help if anyone can with some information to help figure the issue...
Before saying anything, when then dist was replaced, are we sure it was installed in the correct time with the cam and crank ?
So I can be comfortable with the reinstallation.could you please tell me what you did to assure it was installed properly, thanks.
Did you check if there is power present at one of the terminals of the coil when the key is on?
If you have a test light, when cranking the engine to start , if the test light clip is connected to battery positive terminal and the test light point is touching the other terminal on the coil, the light should blink, does it?
What we are checking is power to the coil and signal from pick up coil in the dist sending correct info that should get to coil to generate spark.
When you had the dist out, did you check if the rolled pin that holds the dist drive gear to the dist shaft was not sheared? you can verify this by watching if the rotor is turning when the engine is cranked.

ALSO - uhm maybe I screwed up cuz I had light on a ground bolt to test the tach wire on coil instead of the positive battery pole... But either way when i took the plug oit to test spark it gave nothing.
Did you mark the exact position of the base of the dist and the exact position of where the rotor was pointing BEFORE removal so it could be installed in the exact same position as when removed? If the dist is 1 tooth off it will never run right and will need to be done again correctly to be right.
You cannot make up for incorrect position by rotating the dist to achieve correct timing.
