2005 f150 4x4 5.4 triton
I put a new spark plug and ignition coil on cylinder 4. Misfire on and still hasn't helped. Seem like in morning the thing run like a raped ape But then it warmse up it starts missing when u put a load on it
Many auto supply stores will check your vehicle for codes at no charge.That would be a good place to start.
Some codes don't cause the C/E lite to come on,but can still be in there. This way you don't go replacing a lot of good parts.
Keep in mind that cyl is the last one in the line and sometimes garbage winds up in that last injector.We don;t go replacing parts until we prove the part is defective or malfunctioning.
Lets hope we don't need to get involved in the VVT system. Variable valve timing.
Have you considered a cyl compression test ? If it is mechanical , that will show up.
