Hey, i’m new to this but i have a 2012 ford focus hatchback 2.0, 4 cylinder, SEL. I’m noticing at low fuel level, my rpm’s climb upwards of 4,000 and won’t shift out of first gear when accelerating. After the fact and i fill up my gas, it’s normal again. Once i start getting low on gas fuel, about a quarter of a tank, it does it again. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

 

This might require removing the fuel pump module in the fuel tank and see what is going on in there.
