Who is recommending this?
Dealer , may be trying to prevent known problems.
Other shop, maybe knows this could be a problem, but has not seen this as often as dealership shop.

Default fuel induction on 2019 f150

I believe it's a money maker for the dealer. Also wanted to do throttle body service. Been going to this ford dealership and they are always doing a hard sell.

Look at this way, you could wait until problems come up then wait some more for an appointment to get your vehicle in.

It might be a good idea to look into what takes place to cause hot soak problems.
Among which are driving habits, infrequent maintenance, and time of the year when different ingredients are added to fuels.

The more you learn the better decisions you can make. Regular maintenance is a lot more than frequent oil and filter changes.
