Can a Gen3 5.0 V8 Mustang engine fit a 2018 F-150?

Mustang to F150 swap
I just finished swapping a new Mustang crate engine into my 2018 F150. It IS NOT plug and play. I had to change AC compressor, upper radiator hose, different belts. But most of all, the firing and injector order had to be changed in the plug going to the ECU.A total of 24 wires had to be swapped to accommodate the 'Stang firing order. The master tech who made it all work was Chad Browning at Reelsville Auto Services in western Indiana. Cleanest engine swap ever.

interesting.
Did you have to get a custom tune to do that, change the ECU to a mustang unit, or how did you get that part to work, or did it just work?

Custom Tune
Mine is set up for two levels of performance. An 87 , and a 93 octane as well as stock, if I so desire. Coupled with a cold air intake and a Corsa side exit exhaust, I estimate something just over 500 at the crank.

Thanks, the reason I asked is in another group someone was doing the same thing, and was told because of the cams being different the ecu would not operate that engine without errors and they said it couldnt be done. maybe your re-wiring took care of that problem they were having.
