explore odometer lights out

Default explore odometer lights out

I have a 02 explorer limited, the battery died and after charging the battery the info display and the heat and a/c display are out all the buttons work but no display all other dash lights work any ideas on how to fix

It is important to know why the battery needed to be recharged. There is possibly a problem that caused the battery to die other than from "old age". Many times poor ground connections do this and some things don't work after , the battery voltage drops below a certain value or a poor connection exists in the system.

The battery died because wife turn key on and was running a/c fan while cleaning car but found out that both displays go out when headlights go on so may have short in headlights. But only affects the odometer and display on heat a/c
