Default Ford Mustang

Hello Ford People . I'm looking for some help. I have a 1986 Ford Mustang XL that I want to sell, but have no idea what to ask. It has a small 2.3 L 4 cylinder engine. 46,000 km. In has been indoors for the last 20+ years. No rust, but could use a paint job as it's color has faded. I had it certified a couple of years ago and only needed to replace the emergency brake cable. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the site..

Have any pics you can post?
Lot of variables on a value like interior condition, tires, brakes etc. Manual or auto? How does it run, or does it?
Also, where the car is located., Helps, If its closer to a potential buyer...
The more info you can provide paints a better picture, and images help to draw in buyers..

It starts and runs well. I take it around the block every couple of weeks. The interior is in good shape. Cloth seats that are a red/maroon color. The tires are like new Michelin. It has an automatic transmission. I had it saftied a couple of years ago but never got it licenced. I was going to let my son use it but the insurance was out of this world.

Very nice vintage Mustang.. A diamond in the rough..

Hard to know what your area would bare, but I’d be thinking in the 5-7k range. Maybe a tad more depending
But I’d detail it very well, re black out all the trim, paint as shiny as it will polish to. Interior as well. Under the hood, cleaned and detailed if in need. If it looks like a time capsule and well represented, should see top dollar. More so given the very low miles.
4 cyl. Auto not hugely desired but the low mileage and condition,, ask high, setting where the offers come in..
The 2.3 is excellent engine, I’d love to have it but a stretch from my local...

On any reply page,, next to Post Quick Reply, click on Go Advanced,, then clicking on Manage Attachments should open your device photo library for image selection. As long as the images are within size limits, should transfer over/into the page. If you can’t get any results, you can email the images to me and I’ll insert them..

I don’t think you’ll have a hard time seliing it..
