I need help with my new acquired ford.
Hello Everyone!
I just recently got a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6. The bad news it has been parked for two years with a blown head gasket. I decided before tackling the head gasket to start cleaning the interior because it needs it badly. Imagine a car parked for 2 years with windows cracked open and it was outside in a semi enclosed carport. So dust, pollen, leaves and spiders and mold has pretty much invaded the interior, so I need to roll the windows up.
Anyway the long story short, I am having problem getting power to my car. I just replace the battery and still no power. Sad to say i am not mechanically inclined so any advice or suggestions would be awesome.
So to recap: Parked car with a blown headgasket is not getting any electrical power and I just bought a new battery nothing happened. I don't know what to do.

Not getting any electrical power can mean many things. Soooooooo,
Do the headlights come on when you turn them on?
If so, that would mean power is getting to some places.
If not, that could mean power is not getting from the battery to anyplace.
In that case it would be a good idea to check the battery cable connections at the other ends away from the battery, Over time corrosion can do many things preventing power from going to where it should. You might remove the negative(-) battery cable from the battery and proceed to clean the connections where the other ends of the cables connect , then reconnect the negative cable to the battery and see if you at least get something.
Let us know how you make out and we can go from there.

Hey,
thanks for replying... My roommate finally checked the car out and finally got it to work. It was the simplest thing, I felt so embarrassed. It is the Main fuse board power supply cable was not connected and was hidden from view. So my roommate found it and reconnected to the positive connector and BAM the car turned on.
thank you so much for your assistance.
