Kaden Tara 1992 ford f250 stalling
I am kaden my 92 F250 stalling after I installed the new pcm it was doing fine until it stalling when coming to a stop . it works fine on 302 ecm but not on the 5.8 ecm . I did things like 2 new fuel pumps and Idle air control valve and o2 sensor and TPS and egr valve and fuel filter and plug wires , new ecm did not fix the problem it is only fine with other ecm from the 302 v8 . I just don,t know if it is my wiring harness or else , any ideas ?

Those ECMs contain more important info than just engine size.. Vehicle size, weight, drive train among some other things are taken into consideration when they are built.
First you need to get the proper ECM in the vehicle and then run some tests to determine what is not working properly.. The codes are in there !
Once you get the codes , you have some idea of where to start looking.
The amount of $$ you spent replacing, maybe some good parts, you could have had it checked for codes...
Those older vehicles with the OBD l system requires a bit more effort to get the codes and run tests. They provided very good service if properly maintained.
They were truly , "Ford Tough"..
There could be a few reasons for stalling. If the malfunctioning ECM is not controlling things properly ,it could cause stalling. The idea is to verify if the signals are getting to the components that if not controlled properly could result in stalling.
Most folks do not know that those Ford OBDl ECMs had an automatic Dynamic testing feature that you could run and it would run those tests automatically.
I will check if the little tool is still available . It only cost around $26.00 a few years ago.

The odd thing my truck with the 351w works fine with ecm from the 302 that I bought from my brother Cole from a 1994 f150 , The ecm for the 351w was a remanufactured from RockAuto it was remanufactured from Mexico that I ordered 2 weeks ago it worked fine until the truck started stalling coming to a stop and after reving it and I already spent a a lot money on parts before on the truck

You will never get the problem straightened out switching parts !
There could be a problem with the correct ECM.
If you suspect that, take it back and tell them you want a replacement
There used to be a problem with those older ECMs and their power relay inside. If you received one of those , exchange it.

Perfect maybe that is what need the PCM I ordered from rock auto said it was for automatic but it still worked fine my truck which is a zf5 manual,
would I need to replace the distributor ? because the distributor on my truck does not have pip sensor like on the other trucks would

The PIP signal originates inside the distributor with a circular coil called "A pickup coil". It inside under the rotor and the distributor has to be removed to replace it if, necessary.
If it is not working , the engine will not start.
If it is not working , the engine will not start.
good to know the orignal ecm that was in my truck I ended up getting that rebuilt so now I ended up buying from rockauto acccel new ignition coil and new distributor assembly just in case becuase I seen the forums where sometimes if the pip sensor it is starting go bad it would stall or bucking or not run at all .
My brother and me tried the new ecm and coil and distributor now it is not starting at all now it was fine until I try to give it gas then it stalled it turns out the map sensor has gone bad so I order new ICM and map sensor from rockauto so I am going to hope that fixes the problem .
