Need help 98 expedition..need key code how do I find

Did you try to get an estimate from a local locksmith to come and make a key for your vehicle?
Other option would be to call a dealership, provide your vehicle ID NO and registration and maybe they might be able to come up with a code/key, although due to the year kinda iffy.
If and when you get a key consider having 2 made. With 2 working keys you can program up to 8 yourself.
Your vehicle may have a security system where the new key(s) have to be programmed to your vehicle.
Locksmith has to be registered and certified to code new key for your vehicle , otherwise you vehicle may not even start. This can now get pretty expensive.
