please help 97 expedition trans

Default please help 97 expedition trans

I have a 97 eb expedition and when it shifts into od the od light will flash and tben it will shift hard I can turn the truck off an restart it turn off the od and it never does it

need to check codes , the OD light is flashing because there is a trouble code

Tryed that none is coming up

Check where the shifter goes into the steering column, the wires from the overdrive switch break right there sometimes.

Sometimes you need to play detective with these things.
It appears the PCM resets once you turn the key off, soooo, if you can after the problem surfaces again try to read the codes without shutting the key off and just maybe you might get a clue as to which system is causing the problem.

Il check the wires tomorrow but I've tried the scan without shutting it off and its just not workig for me fluid is good and red and full I'm ready to burn it lol
