Bad tranny and bad mechanic
Bad mechanic ford f150 4x4 lariat
I had tranny replaced my truck I was driving it 5 months ago and it wouldn't move all of a sudden I shut it off and coasted in store. They said bad tranny 5600 dollars later they tell me it's fixed come get it I go to pick it up and pay for it . I put it in reverse and it won't move I try again and the key us locked up in ignition and won't come out . I tell them and the owner comes and takes it out on test drive he stomps on it and then barely makes it back to there lower parking lot . And two days later they tell me that transfer case is bad and it put metal all through my drive train since he drove it and it did that did he blow transfer case and ruin my drive train . Cause he said metal all through it. Please help.i towed it out of there and taking it to ford . And did it ruin new tranny .

You are not alone. There are a few times this has happened and it was coincidence because the trans had some serious problems to begin with.
I would still consider another shop.
This is all water under the bridge, so to speak, and maybe we might have been able to suggest a different path.
The amount of $$$ you paid would very likely maybe got you a remanufactured trans which has all the modifications and updates plus a better warranty.
