2002 P71 fuel issue
So I went out and started my 2002 P71 which unfortunately had been sitting for a few months, but as always it fired right up (do keep a battery tender on it) but it only ran for about 1 min. then shut down, I cannot here the fuel pump run at all.
I have seen a couple dozen or more pictures and videos of where the fuel pump relay is and IT IS NOT THERE! there is no relay housing on the driver side fender well PERIOD!
I go out my trusty OBD reader and entered the DTC menu and P0001 "Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit/Open" is the first thing I see, I am now wondering if that comes up because it is just the first code and I am actually not "reading" the fail code.
anyway some clue where the fuel pump relay actually is may help, tomorrow I will actually read the OBD manual.
Thanks
EDIT, the check engine light is pretty much always on due to a buggered shifter.

A suggestion,
Clear the code and see if it returns.
The majority of the time when the check engine lite is illuminated there should be a code as to why..
When you erase the code(s) the C/E light should go out. Now starting with a clean slate let's see what you get.

Well that's about right, jumped into it this evening and it fired right up!!
Tried to start it many times last night, even after clearing all the codes, no check engine light yet today, it will come back because of the shifter sooner or later. GEEZ now I have not idea when it will happen again........
