Does anyone know if it's possible that a 94 E-150 cargo van with 5.0L and 4-speed automatic with overdrive is capable of 20mpg highway mileage????

I'm considering purchasing and am skeptical of current owner's claims. Sounds high to me. Would appreciate any knowledgable comments. Thanks.

 

Have maintained many of that year and engine.
It may be possible if always empty and all downhill.
Haven't seen one yet that could do that, but there is always a first time.

My 1993 Winnebago conversion with the 5.0 and AOD with 149,000 miles on it will get 15 mpg freeway driving when I drive it and 17 mpg when my wife drives it under the same conditions but it has never got 20 mpg so that might be a stretch.
