Default 2008 Escape transmission problems

Help please!! I have a 2008 Ford Escape with the 2.3 Liter FWD with 175K miles. I recently replaced the intermediate 1-2 band inside the transmission pump assembly due to the car not shifting until 4-5k rpms. I followed a youtube video and did it exactly as it was shown. The only difference was I did it a little here and there over about a 2 week period. It's a ton of work as you have to loosen 3 motor mounts and pull the driver side cv axle. I ended up replacing the CV axle and the outer tie rod ends as well. So during all of this I lost about 4 quarts of transmission fluid. So when putting everything back together and triple checking my work I added 3.5 quarts of transmission fluid and then started the car. I instantly heard a squeaking or struggling noise. I'm not really sure what it was maybe the pump trying to circulate the transmission fluid? I ended up turning the car off and then waiting a few minutes and turning it back on. The noise had reduced about 50% and then finally went away. I then let it sit to get up to temperature so I could check the fluid. When I did it was way too high on the dipstick. I shifted through all the gears pausing in between each one for a few seconds in hoping to circulate the fluid back to everywhere it needs to be. The level never went down. So then I tried putting it in gear and was going to drive it around hoping it would take it and the level would go down but the car wouldn't move! It did not even sound like it was in gear like it usually does and the rpms would raise and it would very slightly feel like it was wanting to move but it wouldn't go anywhere in any gear including reverse. This is when you think it's all over what the hell is going on now! So I got a transfer pump and pumped out the 3.5 quarts that I added thinking that I'll add it in slower and maybe that will trigger some sensor or something but nope it didnt affect it. I then pulled the drain plug and another 3.5 quarts of fluid came out. Then I slowly added 3 quarts back in and its passed the full mark on the dipstick saying there is too much. I apologize for such a long post but wanted to describe as best as possible to see if anyone else has had this problem or can help me in figuring out what to do to fix it. I feel like it may have something to do with the torque converter maybe not having fluid in it or the pump is not operating correctly but I'm not sure. Everything on this vehicle is electronic so I'm hoping it's something small that I havent thought of yet. I watched so many videos from others on how to tackle this job before I started and have complete faith in everything I did but now I'm stumped. Thanks in advance for anyone that actually read all of this and who is willing to give some much needed advice!
