Default oil leak location

newbie here. 2009 ford escape v6 2wd 160k. oil seems to be leaking all around the oil pan. block is oily above the pan; was wondering if there are 'typical' or 'problematic' locations for this malady? any and all help appreciated.

Once everything is covered with oil it becomes difficult to pin point unless you can see it running out.
What is usually done is the area is cleaned and then watched for where the oil is exiting. There are so many possible places and believe it or not they are many.
A leak can be higher up than where it seems to be coming from. Sometimes the fan can blow the oil to where it seems like the location, and it can fool you.
