Hello, Im new here, can anyone help? I have a 1994 Ford escort. This week a tie rod broke and when the tire turned inward, it broke the plastic piece under the bumper (in the front.) Is there anywhere online that has a picture with parts names, and parts numbers. I think this thing is called a front lower valance. But, the only one I can find to buy does not look like what is (was, is now falling off) my car. Also, is there a kit I need to install this thing? Right now it is just tied on with wire. I really wish my ford dealer noticed this and fixed it this week when my car was towed to them and I spent $400.00 for the other repairs. I drove home (20 miles) with this part hanging down and who knows if or what damage I caused. Can anyone tell me what this is for or where online I could find out if I even need to replace this thing. THANK YOU, K PS I live in Northwest Indiana, about 30 miles from Chicago.

 

From what I can see on the 94 Escorts, you may actually need the entire bumper cover. Is this piece black plastic or painted the same color os the car? I would shop around for a used piece.
