Nothing happens when I press start button
I have a 2103 ford explorer limited and nothing happens when I press the on button but the radio comes on when I press the power button. I just put in a brand new battery it's not even showing me anything on the display but the mileage at first then nothing.
Yes the taillights come on. For some reason even the accessory doesn't work when I press it but I can turn the radio on and off with the radios power button.
The reason I asked about the stop lights working was , you must depress the brake pedal in order for the vehicle to start. Th stop lite circuit sends a message to the safety system , OK to start
.If the stop lite circuit is not functioning correctly it could prevent the vehicle from starting just as if you did not depress the brake pedal.

What would make the push button not work at all. Usually you're able to press it and use the accessory power or even see displays but it does absolutely nothing when pressed, but oddly enough the radio will turn on if I press the power but for radio nothing else on the dash shows up.
