12V Battery low warning
Anyone with 2021 F-150 Ecoboost getting a dash message to turn off ignition, even though truck is turned off? Then a line across dash notes system shut off to save battery. Now the low12V battery warning is coming on … seems software related
Thanks, a technician is coming to check Tuesday, and interestingly, it is not a consistent issue, sometimes the truck thinks ignition is still on and sometimes not (but when thinks still on, something must be on, to drain 12V battery, maybe even pro power related, do not know) .. I’ll post what the find out
Newer vehicles respond to the key FOB being near the vehicle, so everything is ready to go, but this does draw power from the battery
The newer vehicles have networks that NORMALLY go into sleep mode to reduce battery drain when vehicle is not in use.
If for some reason any module is awakened or prevented from going into sleep mode (approx 45 minutes) there is a battery drain that should not be present.
Overnight , this can drain sufficient power from a good battery to prevent start up when required in the morning. If the FOB is left inside or near the vehicle , it will not go into sleep mode.

Thanks, I’ll double check on the key FOB, I have left key in truck a few times (still lucky enough to be in an area where there is not much chance of truck getting stolen or some mischievous kids pulling a prank) .. actually my sister in law left her car running over night and was notified by neighbor in AM that she left car on. For the ignition issue, it started after the pc in the fuel door fell out, causing the truck to keep notifying the fuel door is open, which was about week or so until new fuel assembly arrived (and luckily only had to take pc out of new fuel door and put in old, and not change entire assembly) .. figure that out via this forum .. but unfortunately when I went to gas station where I got gas, they had cleaned to the area and no pc to be found which is why I had to but whole new door, even though only needed one small pc.
Dealer came out and reset a few things with the power, now battery low does not show up … and … my truck appears to start up in hybrid mode more often (prior to software reset, when I turned truck on, it seemed to go right into 1K RPM, now when start, no RPM, very nice, and gas tank shows approx 600 miles when fill tank) … something is different, for the better
Also I’ve notice for parking lots and neighborhood parking, it seems like to electric motor is doing what it should do, where as before testing system, I rarely noticed full electric mode
