2016 F150 LED tailgate light bar issue.
I purchased a R26416 Recon 60" White Lightning Tailgate LED Light Bar for my 2016 F150. I chose to hardwire the light because using the four prong plug turns off the back up sensors and blind spot indicator. It was easy to install into the tail light, I used wire clips. 2 weeks later, I got in the truck and my running boards quit working, I started the truck and the climate control wouldn't work, the power seat did not adjust, the air bag light came on, I opened the windows because it was hot and drove to the Ford Dealer. The Tire Pressure sensors failed and then the parking assist malfunction warning. the power window stopped working. The dealer took it for 2 days and then determined the BCM needed reprogramming due to the aftermarket light bar being installed. I believe this is false. I asked them if the light was installed incorrectly and they said we don't suggest you wiring anything with the new LED tail lights. They want to charge me $150 to disconnect the four wire clips... SMH. I declined. I would like some guidance as to whether this light could corrupt the BCM. And if so, what is the property way to connect this light? Thank you.

FYI, electronic modules on newer vehicles are so sensitive that not only can detect when a light is out and not functioning, They can respond to any additions to the lighting circuit. You might try disconnecting the addition for a while and see if the problems go away.
