2018 F-150 10-speed transmission problems
I've been reading up on the issues with this transmission and even saw there is a class action lawsuit that was filed in the past. My truck is having the same problems and has been at a Ford dealership's shop for over 6 weeks now. It's mostly been sitting because they only have one transmission mechanic, and he was backed up with jobs waiting for him. I've checked around and this is the only transmission mechanic with the right equipment in my area. The dealership says they have a waiting list for loaner vehicles. Does anyone have any suggestions about who to contact with Ford to see if they will reimburse me for a rental car? The truck is my only transportation and thankfully I have some wonderful angels as neighbors who have loaned me their cars when necessary. But I don't want to wear out my welcome with them and I don't know how much longer the repairs will take. Fortunately the power train warranty is still in effect - until December. I was told of another local owner whose truck has been in the shop for 4 months now. Thanks in advance.

They haven't told me the problem yet. They insisted I leave it with them until they could get to it. I asked if I could bring it when they were ready to work on it, and the service writer said no. As of this past Monday, 6 weeks later, it was "next on the list" to be checked and diagnosed. The truck doesn't shift into the lower gears when starting off. It even lost power when I turned left into traffic on the way to the shop. When it does shift, it's very hard and slams my head into the headrest. I've had the adaptive programming reset but it didn't fix the problems.
