Default loss of heat f150

I lost heat in the truck a while back and could not get my normal mechanic to fit me in therefore decided to tackle the job of replacing the heater core myself. Due to some dirty looking water in the coolant system, I replaced the water pump, resevoir, radiator, heater core, evaporator, and all lines associated with the heating system. Took about 12 hours to finish, filled up radiator but still no heat. I wish i had known about the blend door actuator prior to reinstallation. I was told about this after installation so pulled the radio and glove box and installed that yesterday. Still no heat. When changing from cold to hot there is no difference which makes me think the actuator or the blend door itself is the issue. Checked fuse for the actuator and it is good. Could it be that the splines on the actuator didn't line up upon installation and/or the door could be bad; if so is it best to repull the dash to ensure. Any advice would be appreciate.

Some require a little "Programming" , if the door is requested closed and it is set on closed they will usually work. Both have to be in the correct position for it to work.
Just installing the actuator with the door in the wrong position , does not work

Both need to be in the same position when installed. Programming probably was not the best term to use.
