Slow take off
I got a problem When I try to pass a vehicle on the Highway I have to press the gas pedal half ways then slowly release to catch speed. How can I just press the pedal and have it take off quick
It’s a 2001 Ford F-150 4.6. Got a new engine in it. Have like 5000 miles on the new engine. But as I remember when I got it back it had been doing that. I’m thinking it’s the cheap coil packs they put on it
How does it perform from a start off ?
If OK there, could it be the trans is not downshifting to a lower gear when you want to pass ?
Where did the engine come from ? New ? Salvage yard?
Why was the engine replaced ? Could there be something presently related as to why the original engine failed?
If it bogs down on acceleration when the throttle plates are opened it could be starving for fuel.
