Default Transmission flush

What should I do my truck hit 150,323 miles and the scheduled maintenance says to get the transmission fluid changed at 150,000 but I’m not having any problems should I get it done? My truck is a 2009 f150 and it has never been done in the trucks lifetime. Also should it be flushed.

There are a few different points of view on this.
A flush will usually get most of the old fluid out and replace it with new fluid.
If the pan were dropped and cleaned ,that would get the stuff out that a flush does not and replace the fluid that is in the pan and maybe some in the torque converter , but not the trans cooler.

Neither will remove the accumulation that is contained in the clutch assys. They would have to be disassembled to do that and may not be necessary if all is well.
Your best bet is to follow the recommendation in your owner's manual.

Transmissions are not in actuality’ flushed’ any longer.
What is done is a fluid ‘exchange’ and the job is in the name, fluid is removed and replaced simultaneously.
Id follow the service intervals as well, even if the trans health isn’t in question.. Servicing is done to extend and get you the best service life out of the unit..
