1995 F250 7.5 Gas mileage
Hi,
I’m brand new here and don’t know a lot about trucks, so please bear with me. But my 16 year old son is an enthusiast, and I’m considering buying him one.
He found a 1995 F250 with only 54,000 original miles, and is in great condition. It’s got the bigger engine (7.5 I believe) My concern is the amount of money he’ll spend on gas.
If you have any experience or input, I’d appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
Jim

It is a big engine with all kinds of power, which is nice to have. If he has a heavy foot AND it is geared to do heavy work, it will eat gas.
Depending on how the differential was set up can affect gas mileage. See if you can get the axle code from the door sticker . That should tell us what ratio rear it was built with. You can have either pulling power or economy, but can't have both.
