Electrical Damage due to leak
My truck is a 2000 f350 and was hit and every since when it rains, water gets down into the electrical box. It triggers things like my starter to attempt starting my truck, door locks and horn start going off sporadically. I can’t find the leak. Mechanics have put water on my truck to find the leak but never succeeded and made my truck worse. It burnt up the starter and I had just bought one. Does anyone have suggestions on how to change the ground wire on the starter? And a good body shop?
I’ve replaced the Windshield twice and had new weather stripping put in, but again not so good of a job.

Hi Bri,
That relay box has a plastic cover that snaps into place. If,,,,,,,,,, that cover or the panel it covers is damaged and allows any kind of moisture to enter, problems will develop.
Not knowing the exact extent of the damage from the accident, difficult to suggest what would work best.
To your knowledge has anyone removed the fuse /relay panel and looked underneath? Do you feel you are capable to get into this type work?
Would it be possible for you to post a few pictures of the damage ?
I believe I can help with some suggestion or two, but need to have some idea of what I would be working with.
Every situation is different and requires a different approach.
Let's face it , if it was that easy to straighten out the problem , it would have been done by now.
What do you think?, thanks..
