Need some info. thanks :)
Hey everyone I was wondering if a '69 F250 is a good truck to try and upgrade, the seller is asking 5k for it and I'm not sure if it's 4x4 or not. Also what are some of the better years for trucks to try and rebuild/upgrade? Thanks to anyone who answers my questions.

Tough ol trucks!
Late 60-70’s trucks were great platforms. I’ve owned a few personally. A 69 250 4x4 4spd (360 to 390) , 69 4x2 4spd 360, , 70 Step side 360 column shift, a 73 4x2 302 auto long bed, 79 150 4x4 4spd I converted to a C6, and worked in fleet on hundreds of them over the years.
Knowing if it was a 4x would help, as would images to better get an idea of value, but more so any work ahead of you. Given they’re now vintage, a general condition at the point of sale, meaning what parts you may need to source out may help as well.
Personally, the ol iron was tough no doubt, good trucks, and certainly worth building if it’s a solid contender . But like my 79, it was more of a comfortable truck,, auto trans was upgraded from manual, A/C (I added factory air) and power steeering. I also added cruise control as well.
My 69 4x was a complete ground up resto from the leaf spring shackles on up! Gorgeous truck, and would love to have it back. The 79, maybe a tad more creature comforts, parts can be easier to come by, but depending on what you’d need, the 69 if really clean and 4x? generally would command a higher value. Although prices have really climbed over the years..
Post up a few images if you have them available, I have a sweet spot for the old Ford iron...
