Trouble codes i am a novice!
I own a 2005 Ford 500 I am getting 3 trouble codes one is pretty straightforward the other two are confusing
please keep in mind if you have a friend that knows just a little about cars I know half as much as he does so anyway
p0171 is pretty straight forward.
p2544 and p0446
sounds like they're talking about how the computer interacts with the engine and the transmission but the transmission is now called the power train I think
any help would be greatly appreciated

The powertrain consists of the engine, trans, differential and so on.
If your library of knowledge is a little limited, I would suggest that you have someone with a good scan tool do a little checking to determine the cause for the codes.
There is a good possibility a poor electrical connection in the system is responsible for the codes.

long story short Ford told me I would have to pay for this is this correct They said my hundred thousand mile or 10 year warranty at expired but this seems like a safety issue more than a warranty issue?
