Default 2000 E250 oil pan replacement

I have a crack in the oil pan where it is sitting on the cross member. It appears the oil pan is being crushed by this. Will new motor mounts fix this. Also I tried to remove the old one. Do I have to remove the transmission to get the pan out on this vehicle?

Sagging or broken motor mount(s) is one possibility . Which engine do you have?

No, you do not have to remove the transmission. You need to remove the radiator fan shroud and position it over the fan. You might have to remove the upper intake manifold and throttle body for clearance, you decide. Unbolt the mounts. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines, another you decide. Unbolt the exhaust. Raise the engine and support with wood blocks under the supports. Drain oil. Support transmission with a floor jack and remove the transmission cross member. Remove oil pan and rest onto cross member. Remove the two bolts attaching the oil pump pick up tube to the pump. There may be a fastener supporting the pick up tube. Lower the pickup tube/screen into the pan then remove the pan. These instructions may vary some from your situation. Again, you decide. The engine likely will need raising atleast 4-5 inches. If others have any short cuts or corrections, please chime in.

While it is apart, it is up to you the do some inside checking. Myself, I would install a new oil pump and plasti-gauge the bearings to see if they are good enough for further use. You will need a torque wrench for that.... Good luck.
