Default Help Please!

Good evening, fellow Ford Members,

My name is Dan and I am having trouble figuring out where to connect a pigtail to and where do I connect the third wire of a new fuel pump cutoff switch I received as oppose to the 2-cavity fuel cutoff switch that originally came on my 2005 Ford Expedition 5.4L XLT. Please see attached photos and please help me somebody!

Are you talking about the inertia sw ?

Why are you trying to change the switch that came with the vehicle?

I ask these questions so we have some idea of what we want to accomplish.

Not the inertia switch, but the connector itself Hanky. All the auto parts store only had the 3-cavity connector, so what I did is remove the extra wire from it to be able to splice it to the original one so I think I will be good there. It's just now figuring out where the unknown pigtail connects to. The part number details says it's either connects to a rear air suspension (RAS) switch or a fog light switch, but it's in the rear left and I don't see where it connects to at all.

I still wonder what brought you to that spot.

A little FYI,
If you purchase from a Ford dealership parts dept, , you don't usually have these type problems.

If you purchase from just any auto parts store, you could wind up with "Fits All;" parts and the problems that come with it.

If you go to a dealership, they usually need your VIN because all vehicles are nowhere near the same.

Can we ask what brought you to this problem ?
