I purchased my 2011 Ford Focus last December. When I filled up the tank, it would tell me that we had 412 miles until E on the display. I have noticed that that number of miles has gone down over the past year and now says there are only 368 miles until E and I wondered why the change? Is it based on driving habits? Or what?

I would suppose a lot depends on how the car was driven recently since it averages it out over a period of time and miles and past fuel consumption.
