Default 2010 fusion is blowing #48 fuse just turning the key on

I took the 2010 Ford fusion for a little spin and got just a little ways from my house and it died and I could not get it started. So I checked the fuses and found that the coil ignition fuse number 48 was blowing. So at that point I am plugged each coil one by one to check and see if that is the coils are bad and it still blew the fuse I’m at a loss

From what I was able to check the only thing that fuse protects is the ignition coils.

What I would suggest is , unplug all the coils. If the fuse still blows there is either a burned thru the insulation spot or the wire might be pinched somewhere.
That is usually a red wire, but does not have to be. If the fuse still blows after all the coils have been unplugged ,Now you need to trace that wire all the way back to the ign sw. Was any work recently done in the engine compartment ? Sometimes that is how wires get pinched or moved too close to a hot surface and eventually melt the insulation and provide the short circuit path to ground. There have been instances where little creatures had lunch with the insulation under the fuse panel and you might want to unbolt the panel and check under it. This should be the panel under the hood in the engine compartment.

It has to be the wire because when you bump start it it works just blows the fuse

would it be worth changing the ignition switch first to see what happens ?

Personally, I think it is easier to check under the fuse panel compared to changing an ign sw assy.which may not be the problem.

I don;t know what you mean by bump start it.
Does the vehicle stay anywhere mice could get in the engine compartment ?

but we had it for 2 weeks and drove a lot Then it just died one day so that is when I found the fuse problem
