Exclamation 2013 Ford Fusion water leaking into the passenger back floorboard...HELP?!

My 2013 Ford Fusion recently started having water soaking the passenger side back floorboard when it rains when sitting still in the parking lot. The backseat, roof of the car, under the front seat are not wet just the back floorboard. (I do not have a sunroof) I've had it put on a rack and checked all the drain plugs etc underneath and they all looked fine aren't missing etc. I've even got in the backseat with a flashlight and had someone run water over the doors to see if it leaked in around the seals and nothing. I've read online about a similar issue which involved a leaking cowl vent from drainage off the windshield leaking into the backseat. But is this possible if under the front seat isn't wet? Also one morning it had rained and the water was puddled on top of the carpet in the back floorboard which leads me to believe the water is leaking down onto the carpet instead of up from underneath. Anyone have any similar issue? If so what was the problem and how did you fix it? Also i have not been running the AC since its winter so i don't think it is the AC leaking.

Sometimes you have to play detective and go after the problem a little at a time.
What has worked for me was I removed the carpet from the back, it needs to dry thoroughly anyway, and spray or shoot some talcum powder around the back door sills and also where the rear seat sets. Now the stage is set , all you need to do is wait and watch where the water comes in , the trail will certainly be visible.

Weird thing, sometimes you do have to experiment a lot. what about getting a visit to the dealer maybe he can help you out.

Did you happen to fix the issue? We are dealing with the same thing right now. We can see water coming in under the dash but haven’t determined the origin
