its under the dash on the peddle. unplug and there is a clip or 1 bolt. you have to hold the clutch down while you replace it

Grindman, common sense is very uncommon. I seem to remember that Audi got in trouble here in the USA because of cars mysteriously starting on their own and causing damage (humbug, IMO). The solution was to put a clutch safety switch in place to ensure there is a human being at the wheel when the car starts.
That safety switch became a requirement for all cars with manual transmission.
