So I recently purchased a 2015 Ford Taurus. I was thinking about taking on a project with it. It's currently has a 4" screen, Sync 1 (I believe) no NAV, No Sirius. No premium sound package. I was curious to what I would need to do to add a Sony OEM deck with a *' screen to it. hat necessary part should i need to install to make this happen. For example if I wanted to add Sirius radio to a OEM radio that doesn't have sirius install can I add a tuner? This being an option if purchased new you'd like the car would have the barebones that would accomidate such an upgrade after. Where should I get started?

 

There is a good possibility the radio may be one of the modules in your vehicle's network. If that is the case ,don't know if it's function (the network) would be affected by some of the changes you are considering.
Might be a good idea to check with your local Ford dealership Service dept and make sure the changes would not create problems for you up the road. It is a well known fact , newer Ford vehicles don't like add ons and have ways of getting even like refusing to start for instance.
