Just curious, I ordered a new charcoal vapor cannister, will not receive it until june, was driving home from town and the truck started running rough, the engine code says cylinder 1 is misfiring. Could a bad evap canister cause this?

 

Normally , no.
Without special test equip, easiest thing to do first is swap the spark plug.l That won't do any damage only move the misfire.
