Default 89 Crown Vic Won't Idle and Floods Out When Sitting.

Returning problems (2)

1 - My late wife's 1989 Crown Victoria starts normally when cold, but after say 5 or 6 miles running, a restaurant stop for an hour, then attempting a restart... the engine is flooded, necessitating flooring the gas pedal for the restart.
I had entered this problem previous and was told to check the "Fuel Pressure Regulator" which I did "By The Book"... No visible fuel leakages anywhere, the regulator diaphragm is okay..... What else might cause this problem?

2 - At some point after the above started (months), the engine would start normally, but as soon as it warmed up to its normal temperature, the idle would drop too low and stall out. Not that a vacuum doesn't exist somewhere, but I can't find one. I was told to check the "Engine Cooling Sensor", but in reading about that unit, if faulty, wouldn't that unit cause the "Engine" light (No Gauge) on the dash to come on?

As you will recall, when cold , a little more fuel is required to assure smooth running so the problem may not be noticed then.

An out of range coolant temp sensor can produce that problem and not necessarily produce a code or C/E lite.

Good to hear from you,thanks.
Forgot to ask,how is gas mileage , you should notice a loss there.
