Default Need help please

'96 350 1 ton van (350) 5.8 engine. Here is the problem. Driving down the road (as opposed to the sidewalk) the van sounded like it stopped as I put the peddle to the metal....example: started to drive off, little gas, hitting speed more peddle engine cut off, even more gas it came back....Got to a stop sign and she just stalled, quit. Looked at the battery and it read drained. Got a jump and all was fine. went to local NAPA and tested battery and alternator all good. Turned van off and on a couple times while at NAPA with no prob. Got home luckily with no problems. Started it the next day and waddya know same problem.
If I put throttle all the way down whilst starting, it will turn over but it gets sluggish when in gear.
I have been told MANY a thing that this could be....the main thing I think is the throttle positioning sensor (although I dread the thought of finding it and taking it out....ugh). Could be a ground, fuel filter, air filter, a mouse coulda been keeping warm in air hoses, been told ALOT of things.
Here is my question....WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? hehe. Seriously, this van is my bread and butter and everyone I know tells me to scrap it and go with another car company. AINT HAPPENIN'!
Anybody out there smarter than my friends and have a good idea what the problem is?

If you are set on replacing the throttle position sensor , get a new one from Ford and once you see it you will be able to spot it on the throttle body.
Electrical and electronic connections can cause some weird results when not as they should be.

A thorough of the battery cables should be on your list of checks.Hidden corrosion could be responsible for the low voltage reading.
