Default 1998 Expedition V8 4.6L ignition issue

I am having some issues with my truck. When its idle its fine, but when I shift into ether reverse or drive, it gets rough. We replaced all the spark plugs, the 2 ignition coils and the IAC valve. When we put the new coils in, the comp gave us two codes, P0353 and P0354 stating that there was an issue with coils C and D. We decided to change one of the new coils out for one of the old coils and start it again. This time however, the codes changed to P0351 and P0352, which is coil A and B. We have not had a reading for the E through H coils, so we do not know whether it would be that the new coils are faulty, or if there is something else that is causing a problem. One of my neighbors has a more advanced comp and ran a few tests to see if maybe there was a problem with the ECM, but the only thing that showed up was the coils.

My first question is , was the problem with the coils present BEFORE you replaced the coils?
If not, suggest you check the plugs going to the coil packs. What we are looking for is possible loose connections.
It is a little odd that only the entire one bank is affected. Cyls 1,2,3,4. Confirm the plug wires are installed in the correct positions on the coils.
