Default 2004 Ford F-150 Electric Issues

Hello all,
New to Ford and new to this forum so I appreciate some insight.

I have two issues that are likely unrelated to one another but I figured I'd post both in the event anyone saw a connection between the two. I recently bought an old 04 F150 V8 XLT with 180K miles. From the moment I got it, it has had a finnicky driver side panel. You can put the driver side window down just fine but when you go to put it up you need to depress each side of the switch multiple times and sometimes tens of times before it will let the window go up. The same thing happens if you use the driver side panel to put down the passenger side window, however, with the passenger side window you can lean over to the passenger side and push the up panel and the window goes up smooth.

This leads me to believe there is a fault in the switch but it presents no other issues in lock/unlock of the automatic doors or any issues with the two rear windows; just the top two. I haven't torn anything apart yet but I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge as to what I might look for or where I might start with the issue. Is the most likely cause the switch panel itself? or electric lines leading up to the switch panel?

The other issue is in the interior lights of the vehicle. Sometimes while driving at night, the interior lights will intermittently turn on and stay on. This problem corrects itself when you turn the headlights off OR you leave the headlights on and turn the interior lights all the way down. However, when I do that, it is difficult to see the dash lights for speedometer/mileage/fuel, etc. as you have to turn it very far down. I don't know where to start with diagnosing this issue, so any assistance would be appreciated.

What you can try, if you want to,
You might be able to pull up and out the window switch , if not you will need to remove the door panel and get access to the switch wires. You can use either a test lite or voltmeter, there should be a wire that is hot all the time with the key on. When you depress that part of the switch to send the signal for the window to go up one of those wires should get power from the switch.. If it doesn't get power every the time you depress the switch, the switch is defective.
